Worker suffers head injury

A 27-year-old Grand Blanc woman was taken to Genesys Regional Medical Center after being impaled in the head with industrial wire at her Independence Township workplace.
According to Oakland County Sheriff reports, deputies and paramedics responded on March 3 to Premarc Corporation on White Lake Road.
The woman was conscious at the scene, despite having the .207-gauge wire embedded approximately 2 inches in her head just behind her right ear.
Reports said the incident occurred when the employee attempted to untangle the wire from its spool.
