Area senior citizens got a special holiday treat Tuesday when the Rotary Club of Oxford hosted its annual free Christmas luncheon at Oxford Hills Golf & Country Club.
A total of 153 local seniors enjoyed an afternoon of dining, music, magic, good conversation and of course, gifts.
You’re never too old for Santa
HAVE YOU BEEN A GOOD GIRL? ? Santa Claus presented 99-year-old Clarice Williamson, of Oxford, a gift certifcate good for dinner-for-two at Ken’s Coney Island because she was the oldest lady present at the Dec. 12 senior citizen Christmas party, an annual event organized by the Rotary Club of Oxford. A total of 186 seniors attended this year’s holiday bash held at Oxford Hills Golf and Country Club. The Rotary Club wished to give special thanks to the following elves who helped make the party such a success ? Don and Mark Milosch (Milosch Dodge), Brad Jacobsen (Jacobsen’s Flowers), Bill Huntoon (Huntoon Funeral Home), the Oxford Hills staff who served more than 200 dinners in 10 minutes, the Hubbard family, members of the Lake Orion Sunrise Rotary Club and finally all the seniors who attended and enjoyed themselves.
