OHS senior Zach Line and freshman Matt Frisch did well at the state wrestling championships held at the Palace of Auburn Hills last week.
Both grapplers earned All-State status.
Line placed third in the 215-pound weight class while Frisch placed seventh at 112 pounds.
‘If you place in the top eight, you’re considered All-State,? explained Coach Scott Couch.
Line finished his season 54-4 on the mat while Frisch ended up 48-9 overall.
Oxford’s other three state qualifiers ? Bo Cantara, Kyle Brammer and Dylan Smith ? were eliminated during the second day of competition Friday.
‘To have five individual qualifiers and two state placers that’s pretty good,? Couch noted. ‘I was very pleased with that.?
