Ortonville— Earlier this month 250 preschoolers in Brandon Township completed the “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program for the 2022-23 school year.
“That’s a total of 250,000 books read, “ said Fran Hotchkiss, BTPL Outreach Liaison librarian. “I’m so honored to have been able to present the children with their certificates, milestone stickers and books. Thank you to the amazing teachers at Brandon Early Childhood Center, Junior Kindergarten and Stepping Stone for collaborating on this program. A very big thank you to the Ortonville Rotary Club for generously sponsoring this very beneficial early literacy program for BTPL.”
