Orion Township Trustees set on Sept. 19 the millage rates to be levied in 2005 to pay for operating expenses in 2006.
The millage rates are: For the General Fund, .8200; for the Fire Fund, .9916; for the Police Fund, 1.9832; and for the Safety Paths, .2382; for a total of 4.0330 mills.
The township board also voted to adopt the 2006 budgets, reducing the General Fund millage by about 12 percent from last year’s operating budget.
