Brown City — On Dec. 14,the Goodrich Powerlifting team which includes students from Goodrich, Brandon, Millington and Grand Blanc school districts competed at the Michigan High School Powerlifting Association at Brown City Regional Powerlifting meet. A total of 22 teams were represented.
GHS Kyleigh Randall  took first place with a 295 squat,145 bench, 305 deadlift and  a 745 total. GHS Lilah Konkle  took second  place with a 245 squat,115 bench, 280 deadlift and  a 640 total. GHS Madison Goltry took second place with a 265 squat,140 bench, 295 Deadlift and  a 745 total. GHS The Johnny Candiloro  took first place with a 335 squat, 205 bench, 415 deadlift and a 955 total. GHS Adeline Edenburn took second place with a 205 squat, 105 bench, 275 deadlift and a 585 total.
MHS Klair Edenburn (Millington) took first place with a 265 squat,145 bench, 305 Deadlift and a 715 total. BHS Lindsey Mettes (Brandon) took third place with a 205 squat,115 bench, 270 deadlift and  a 590 total. GBHS Charlotte Weigandt (Grand Blanc) qualified for the JV state meet in March with a 155 squat,85 bench,210 dead lift and  a 450 total.
Four varsity  members qualified  for the MHSPLA Varsity State meet at Lake Orion High School on March 8, 2025.Four JV members qualified for the JV State meet at Flint Powers on March 01, 2025.
