Coffee & Connections:BTPL to host Oakland Thrive

Ortonville — From 8-10 a.m., Jan. 29 the Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St., Ortonville will host Coffee & Connections: Empowering Local Businesses presented by Oakland Thrive, Ortonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Ortonville DDA.
The networking event, tailored specifically for small business owners in the Ortonville area, will allow guests to meet with representatives from each organization along with fellow entrepreneurs and community members.
“If you own a business in Oakland County, you’re eligible for services through Oakland Thrive, including up to two hours of consultation with experienced professionals at no cost to you,” said Joyce Kreger, small business consultant Oakland Thrive.
“Our experts include consultants in social media and marketing, accountants, attorneys, strategic planners, IT professionals, human resource consultants, and more.”
Additionally, Oakland Thrive offers a range of educational classes, both virtual and in-person.
“As a nonprofit, Oakland Thrive focuses on supporting all small businesses, especially those in underrepresented communities, including minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses.  To get started and make the most of these resources, be sure to attend Coffee & Connections.”
The representatives from each organization will attend to share valuable insights into the resources, programs, and opportunities designed to help businesses thrive. Refreshments provided by Impact North Ortonville, Battle Alley Coffee, and Holly Donut Shop.
