Appleton, Wis. — On March 20-23, three Goodrich High School students competed in the USA Powerlifting High School Nationals in Appleton, Wis. The local lifters finished with two second places, a fifth, seventh and tenth. The two second places both qualified for the IDFPA World Powerlifting Championship in Boston on May 10-11.
Klair Edenburn, placed second in the 100K JV Division, 804 pound total. World qualifier, trained with Goodrich but lifted for Millington High School.
Johnny Candiloro, placed second in the 140K plus JV Division, squatting 375 pounds. World qualifier.
Lilah Konkle, placed fifth in the 90K Varsity Division. Included a 292 pound squat and 336 pound deadlift.
Kyleigh Randall, placed 10th in the 100K plus Varsity Division, 782 pound total. Included a deadlift of 325 pounds.
Lindsey Mettes, placed seventh in the 90K Varsity Division, 710 pound total. Mettes is a Brandon High School exchange student from the Netherlands.
