Two teens were arrested and arraigned last week in connection with the Sept. 16 burglarly of Isola’s Pizzeria in Addison.

They’re currently being held in the Oakland County Jail in lieu of paying 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.
The teens? next scheduled court appearance is an Oct. 21 preliminary exam at 1:15 p.m. before District Court Judge Nancy Carniak.
The two 17-year-olds stand accused of breaking into the Rochester Road pizzeria last month and stealing two cash registers. The registers were later found, however, the estimated combined $140 in them was missing.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Dobrowiak, of the Oxford substation, noted he received confessions from both suspects prior to their arrests.
Vanluven and Burch could face additional charges on unrelated crimes, the deputy noted.
Burch had already been in custody at a juvenile detention center while Vanluven had been arrested on unrelated charges when he was taken into custody.
Dan Hersha, who co-owns Isola’s with his wife Teresa, had expressed his disgust over the theft since it was for a relatively small amount of money but caused more than $3,500 worth of damages to his business and resulted in a lost day of business due to the police processing the crime scene.
According to Dobrowiak, Hersha told him the suspects had hung out at the restaurant the night prior to the robbery. The deputy then received information the two had allegedly been involved in the crime.
