Personal best runs all around for CC

Running in the Oct. 25 Regionals in Algonac–their final race of the season–everyone on the Oxford High School Cross Country team went home happy.
Each runner had personal-best runs while Shannon Seeley moved up on the Cross Country Girls All-Time list. Seeley’s time of 20:27 moved her down to sixth fastest girls? run in school history.
The girls? team finishing tenth out of 16 schools. The boys finished 12th out of 16.
‘In my 30 years of coaching cross country, I don’t think I’ve had all runners have personal best runs at the end of the season on the same day,? said Head Coach Ray Sutherland.
Shannon Seeley’s run placed her at 42 out of 112 runners. Megan Seeley finished at 20:51; Taylor Dewey, 21:00; Olivia Hernandez, 21:29; Jillian Walker, 21:33; Brie Barry, 22:05 and Valerie Skilling, 23:07.
For the boys, Dylan Smith led the way with a run of 17:19, making him 48th out of 112 runners.
Chase Tucker finished at 17:23; Eric Joergen, 18:02; Shane Kerbelis, 18:03; Nolan Salani 18:05; Alec Smith, 18:36 and Garrett Kobacic 19:06.
