Families of Pam Collins? first-grade students at Daniel Axford Elementary received a nice Valentine’s Day gift.
That’s because on Feb. 13 the students completed books they’d worked on for three weeks.
The books were biographies filled with hand-drawn pictures and information about them and their families.
Collins and classroom volunteer Jean Dickman assisted the students with the project.
The project also was designed to help the students improve their writing skills.
‘Because they knew their books were to be special presents for Valentine’s Day, they worked hard and did their best on them,? Collins said.
