Goodrich —The new Oaktree Elementary Innovation Labs, that provides students the opportunity for collaborative learning, STEM, creative and maker space projects is now the hub of robotics.
The new classroom which adds technology to learning, has attracted more than 60 second and third grade students for two after school robotics sessions.
“I’d like to thank the taxpayers for the robotics space at Oaktree Elementary,” said Kelly Alford, Oaktree teacher, coordinating the robotics classes. “We currently have students, learning how to program, work as a team and build a better future for us all.”
The Goodrich Enrichment Activities and Revitalization (G.E.A.R.) group donated funds to help purchase new robot material due to the interest.
The new classroom is just one of the 2020 voter approved bond extension projects completed in 2022.
