Atlas Twp. — On Sept. 25, the Goodrich Cross Country teams competed in the Flint Metro League Jamboree #2 at Goodrich Middle School.
The Goodrich boys were up to the task finishing second of six teams in the STARS division behind Corunna, the league’s top team.
The Martian boys were led by GHS Junior Vincent Pattison, 16:09; GHS Senior Cole Winter sixth, 17:49 and GHS Senior Trevor Gutteridge 15th 18:58. followed by Junior Gavin Ottinger 16th, 19:04 and Senior Ryan Oberle 24th, 21:10.
The Lady Martians finished first overall with a perfect score of 15 in the STARS Division.
GHS Senior Kamryn Lauinger 18:52 led the way, winning the 12-team race. GHS Sophomore Alivia Ottinger 19:03 second overall; third for Goodrich and fourth overall Senior Layla Jordan 19:41. Fourth for Goodrich and sixth overall was Sophomore Baylor Lauinger 20:27; fifth for Goodrich and seventh overall was GHS Senior Avery Byrne 20:29. Not to be denied Sophomore Claire Brown 20:24 was sixth for Goodrich and eighth overall.
