After 22 years of renting space in downtown Davisburg, Springfield Township, Dr. David Alati decided it was time to find a new home for his business.
‘Everybody would like to own their own building and be able to be in control of it and that’s a big reason right there,? said Alati, opening a new location in Independence Township. ‘Along with expansion, having more room, then location, it just added up to all of those things ? it was time to get out of there.?
Alati said he had a ‘healthy practice? since he had started, but as the economy took a turn for the worse, he noticed a slow down in cliental and foot traffic.
He originally wanted to stay in Springfield Township because his former company name was ‘Springfield Chiropractic,? but when he saw his future new location at 7590 Dixie Highway, he figured he was only a ‘stone’s throw? away from Springfield.
‘In my wildest imagination of owning my own clinic one day, I couldn’t have dreamed of owning anything this nice,? he said.
Alati purchased the building in May of 2009, moved and opened in September.He is a 1986 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa and has been practicing for 24 years.
‘I have three cousins that are chiropractors. I worked with one of them who had a practice in Highland, worked there for a year prior to opening my own practice in Springfield in 1988.?
Alati said education of his patients is ‘extremely important? as it relates to their spinal health and how that affects their overall health.
