Last month, youth from Christ the Redeemer and United Methodist Church participated in World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine. The national event raises money and awareness for the plight of the 26,000 children world-wide who die of hunger and diseases every day.
Over 70 students and 40 adults went without food as they collected two van-loads of food for Oxford/Orion FISH, made 20 blankets for the local Rotary Club and raised more than $2,000 in pledges that will go to World Vision.
