Michael Wissink, Elite Men’s 2009 state cyclocross champion, and Anne Schwartz, Elite Women’s 2009 state cyclocross champion, will be in town to teach bike skills at Cyclo-cross clinic, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at Waterford Hills Raceway, 4770 Waterford Road.
Hosted by Tailwind Enterprises, Flying Rhino Cycling Club, and Kinetic Systems Bicycles, topics include bicycle mounts and dismounts, barriers, run-ups, making sure your bike fits properly, and choosing the right equipment for cross riding. Races begin immediately after.
The cost for the entire day is $20 or $15 for the clinic only, or $15 for races only. Bring helmet, and cross bike, mountain bike, single speed or 29er.
