Dr. Zap (otherwise known as Kevin St. Onge) recently brought the fun and excitement of physics to the students at Carpenter Elementary School in the form of his “Experiments in Science” assembly.
St. Onge got the students involved as he conducted experiments involving gravity, moving energy, air and static electricity.
The former science consultant has spent the past 18 years traveling across Michigan and bringing his shows to school children.
He developed the character of Dr. Zap for Michigan’s largest science museum to interest students in science learning and motivate them to reach for technical careers.
“I try to get kids excited about physics,” he said. “By showing kids that it is fun.”
