Hey Ladies, do you need some fun and relaxation? Check out the Women’s Expo held at Bridgewood Church on May 8.
‘We’d like all the ladies in this Northern Oakland County area to attend,? said Shawna Jasso, event co-coordinator. ‘Women work so hard all the time. They need a day for themselves.?
For just a dollar women can enjoy over 30 vendors, such as beauty, health, food, home d’cor, scrapbooking, jewelry, massage, photography, purses, skin care, prom dress resale, and much more. The day will also include a dollar raffle for various prizes and the church’s caf? will be open for breakfast and lunch items.
‘We tried to go for anything women might be interested in and get them all here,? said Fran Blum, another event coordinator.
Blum said the expo originally started out as a fundraiser for the church’s Relay for Life Team, with the aim of getting around 20 vendors.
‘It’s just kind of grown,? she said. ‘Now, we’re getting calls from people.?
Jasso noted it’s another way to make the community aware of the church and perhaps spark some Sunday service interest.
‘We want people to come in and say ‘they’re a friendly bunch, let’s try it on Sunday,?? she said.
Blum noted it would be a good day for men to pick up Mother’s Day gifts as well.
Worship Pastor Lisa Marsack agreed.
‘Seriously a smart man would come,? she said with a laugh.

‘It’s a fun day to help the community in all different ways,? said Marsack. ‘Whether it’s helping the vendors and their businesses, or it’s providing a great day for women out.?
