It’s down to the wire for Clarkston schools? budget, with a week and a half until the state deadline for completion at the end of the month.
Clarkston Board of Education’s final scheduled meeting of the month is 7 p.m., Monday, June 22. They will meet June 29 if needed.
One unresolved issue is federal special-education funding, which may be $2 million less than expected. The proposed 2010 budget of $82.9 million already includes a $5 million dip into the district’s fund-balance reserves of $11.4 million.
