Dragons unable to out swim Athens

The Lake Orion girls swimming and diving team will have their eye on Farmington High School as they compete on Oct. 21 after losing to Troy Athens at home on Oct. 14. The Dragons were defeated 118-67 by the Red Hawks. Lake Orion’s Emily Roesch took first in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:25.91, while Erin Sutton was first for the team in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.39. The team will take a 3-6, 2-2 OAA II record up against Farmington before hosting Stoney Creek on Oct. 26. Lake Orion hosts the OAA League Meet on Nov. 3-5, and the MHSAA Diving Regionals on Nov. 16.
