‘Our focus is on recreational activities so we can get these kids out in the public having fun with everyone else,? she said.
At its core, the Daisy Project,’www.thedaisyprojectmi.com, is dedicated to serving others. Their main objective is to obtain special needs equipment from families no longer using it, and for free, delivering it to those families in need after obtaining their non-profit status in June.
They hope to raise between $8,000 and $10,000 for the appropriate footing for the baseball field, similar to the rubber material currently at the park, and other projects around the community.
Each participant is asked to make a minimum donation of $5 for the festival, however, children 12 and under are free.
