While spring cleaning the next few weeks, put the unwanted electronics to the side.
Clarkston Community Schools partnered with Computer Recyclers of Michigan to offer Community Recycling Day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., May 22, at Sashabaw Middle School, 5565 Pine Knob Lane off Maybee Road.
Accepted are computers, CRT and LCD monotors, keyboards and mice, laptops, laser and inkjet printers, scanners, fax machines, copiers, toner, ink, audio equipment, computer speakers, DVD players and VCRs, cell phones, cameras, small electronics, small appliances, all cord and wire, all batteries expect for automobiles, and televisions, 32 inches and under. All items can be in working or non-working condition.
Not acceped are large appliances. There is no early drop off.
The service is free, but five dollar donations are accepted to fund ‘Salmon in the Classroom? at Sashabaw Middle School.
The DNR sponsored program involves students and teachers following the life-cycle of a salmon from eggs, to hatching, to smolt, right in their classroom.
