During the month of March, 52 children in the pre-K classes at Lil? People’s Place 2 in Independence Township read a combined 1,536 Dr. Seuss books in honor of the famous author’s birthday.
The month wrapped up March 30 with cake, punch, activities and a viewing of ‘The Cat in the Hat? movie. Green eggs and ham, however, were not available.
Dr. Seuss was born Theodor Geisel in Springfield, Massachusetts, on March 2, 1904.
