The Dragons got revenge on an early season loss to Berkley, beating the top team in the OAA II, 3-1, on Feb. 18.
John Costigan, Kyle Krause and Brad Berschbach scored in consecutive periods for Lake Orion, who improved to 6-2-1 in league play, and 16-5-1 overall.
Matt Pieper had 25 saves for LO.
With 13 points and only one league game remaining, the Dragons will be unable to catch Berkley in the standings. Berkley is 8-2 and has 16 points.
However, the Dragons can pass second place Waterford Kettering (14 points), by beating Kettering on Feb. 23. That game begins at 8 p.m. at the Detroit Skating Club.
