It’s clobberin? time!

The Oxford Wildcats lit off some offensive fireworks on Friday night, erupting for nine touchdowns in a 62-7 rout of Bloomfield Hills.
Coach Bud Rowley’s starters played a little more than one half of the game while the Black Hawks? starters played the entire time.
The win improved the team’s record to 1-1 and 1-0 in the OAA White Division.
The week the Wildcats travel to Farmington Hills Harrison for a game that will be played on Thursday at 7 p.m. The change in schedule is due to a Jewish holiday, according to information on the Harrison school website.
On Friday night, it didn’t seem to matter who was on the field for Oxford as they continued to score and score.
The Wildcats tallied 20 points in the first quarter, 21 in the second, 14 in the third and seven in the final quarter.
Running backs Ben Line and John Patrick each scored three touchdowns. Patrick’s TDs came on runs of 12, 20 and four yards. Line had scoring jaunts of four, 23 and 89 yards. Line led Oxford with 156 yards rushing on only six carries. He also caught one pass for 19 yards.
Mitchel Tilley had a punt return of 50 yards for a score. Logan Huston recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD and Scott Stubenrauch had a 44-yard run to round out the scoring for the Wildcats.
Senior kicker Aaron Johnston kicked eight conversions.
Oxford amassed 416 yards of offense and averaged 10 yards per play. The relentless Wildcat running game had 370 yards on 35 plays.
Wes Maskill led the defense with four solo tackles and two assists. Line recorded three solo tackles and three assists.
