As the weather turned chillier last week, so did play for the Lake Orion High School varsity boys soccer team.
The Dragons, riding a 9-4, 5-3 OAA I record, faced off against Troy Athens on Sept. 28, in the first game of what would turn out to be a winless week for the team.
Athens took the game from their Orion hosts, 3-1, as the Dragons? only goal came from a Brian Hill penalty kick.
On Sept. 30, Lake Orion hit the road against Rochester Adams, falling 4-0 to the Highlanders.
The Dragons returned to action on Oct. 5, hosting Rochester, and host Clarkston on Thursday.
Lake Orion will wrap up their regular season schedule next week, hosting Royal Oak Kimball on Oct. 14, and Flint Central on Oct. 15.
Varsity game times are 7 p.m.
