Library gets into the holiday spirit

The Oxford Public Library kicked off the Christmas season over the weekend with gingerbread houses and holiday music.
On Saturday, the library hosted a truly sweet class on how to build a gingerbread house.
Kids and their parents had an absolute ball transforming empty milk cartons into colorful gingerbread houses using graham crackers, white frosting and of course, tons of candy!
The hard part was getting as much candy onto the tiny houses as went into the kids? mouths.
Can you say sugar buzz?
On Sunday, the holiday spirit continued to fill the library as it hosted six eighth-grade choir students from Oxford Middle School. The group was small in size, but large in talent as it sang a variety of delightful holiday tunes perfect for warming hearts on a cold winter’s day.
