Last weekend the Goodrich Lions Club held its annual White Cane ‘sale? at Tom’s Coney Island in Goodrich, a grocery store in Grand Blanc, and a store in Burton. Despite the slow economy we are all familiar with, and a few minor showers on Saturday, this was another successful sale, exceeding last year’s total by more than $100.
We want to thank the hundreds of friends and neighbors for taking the time to stop and make a donation to a very worthy cause. Their thoughtfulness is very much appreciate by all of our club’s volunteers, and , more importantly by the many people whose needs are met through our programs and support.
These contributions are used solely to provide services to the visually handicapped; none of these monies are used for the club’s operations.
