MADD marches at Canterbury

The Metro Detroit Chapters of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) held their first annual Strides for Change Walk on Sept. 24 at Olde World Canterbury Village in Lake Orion.
The 5K route led walkers from the village down Joslyn Road next to Orion Oaks County Park, to the corner of Clarkston Road and back.
The event raised over $140,000 for MADD, and the organization plans to hold their second annual walk again at Canterbury on Sept. 23, 2006.
This year is MADD’s 25th anniversary, and they plan to commemorate the occasion with silver ribbons instead of the traditional MADD red ribbons this holiday season.
