Martian kickers defeat LakeVille to remain unbeaten in league

Goodrich’s varsity boys soccer team is starting to round into shape as it hits the home stretch.
The Martians soundly defeated visiting LakeVille 6-2 in an Oct. 4 contest, a game Goodrich coach Josh Watson said ‘was our first complete game we’ve played all season.?
The win improved Goodrich’s record to 5-3-2 overall and 4-0-2 in Genesee Area Conference play.
Brandon DeGrochey scored two goals for the Martians, while Bobby Short notched three assists. In addition, Watson said Dan Eisinger played ‘a great game on defense.?
On Thursday, Sept. 29, the Martians defeated Mt. Morris 4-1. Stephen Harlow scored two goals for Goodrich, while Duane Engleman and Adam Foley each added a goal.
Two days earlier, the Martians tied Frankenmuth at one, as Engleman scored the Martians? lone goal.
