The Wint Nature Center in Independence Oaks County Park is open for walk-in visits, Wednesday-Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
The nature center is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Advance reservations programs including group programs, field trips, birthday parties, etc. are available Tuesday ? Saturday 10 a.m. ? 5 p.m. and Sunday noon ? 5 p.m.
The new hours are part of the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission’s efforts to streamline operations and reduce costs while continuing to provide high quality service to residents and guests.
