Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc. (TTI) and the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) have issued a one-time $15,000 increase to the North Oakland Transportation Authority (NOTA).
The organizations will also put an additional $10,000 toward helping OCCMHA consumers purchase rides.
TTI and OCCMHA worked closely with elected officials including State Rep. Brad Jacobsen, Senator Jim Marleau and Commissioner Michael J. Gingell in their effort to support NOTA and the community.
‘Many of our consumers depend on rides to get to their appointments, both at our office and at other places in the community,? said Jacquline Kiss-Wilson, TTI’s Executive Director.
NOTA provides low-cost rides to people who are senior citizens, have physical, mental health, or developmental disabilities, and/or qualify as low income. TTI makes an annual contribution to NOTA to help support its operating expenses.
Training and Treatment Innovations is a private, not-for-profit organization, incorporated in May 1987 and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). TTI provides a variety of services for persons with developmental disabilities, emotional impairments, mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
