Throughout February, fourth-graders in teacher Barbara Johnston’s class at Oxford Elementary held a supply drive for the K-9 Stray Rescue League in Oxford. They called it ‘Valentines for Canines.? The kids collected more than a case of dog biscuits, a case of bleach, two big bags of newspapers, an industrial-sized container of Pine-Sol, an assortment of toys and collars, $19 in cash and a $25 gift card.
