Police and fire personnel were dispatched to the 300 block of Greenshield just before 1 p.m. today for a home fully engulfed in flames.
Once on the scene, responding deputies located a 56-year-old female with multiple stab wounds inside the home. According to Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe, the woman’s wounds ‘were not self-inflicted.?
She was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Also located at the scene was an unidentified deceased male, found inside a vehicle in the garage area of the residence.
The man has not yet been identified, McCabe said, and names are not being released until positive ID is made and next of kin are notified.
McCabe also said the fire may have been intentionally set, noting the investigation continues and more details will be released when available.
