By the end of October, Independence Township residents will be able to pay their water and sewer bills online. While locals can currently view their bills on the web, they can’t settle up online yet.
‘We wanted to give them an option if they don’t want to mail or come in and pay,? said Treasurer Curt Carson.
Those who choose to use a credit card will be charged a 2.5 percent fee, and $1.95 will be charged for e-checks. To view your water and sewer bill online go to www.twp.independence.mi.us.
