The Lake Orion Lions Club and Michael Lamb have one thing in common. They both own village land that is partially in Orion Township.
They both have made requests to have the township portion annexed into the village.
The club’s village and township parcels are in the Flint/Orion/Miller area. Each parcel has a different zoning.
Lamb’s township parcel is at the northwest portion of North Shore and is adjacent to two village parcels.
Members of the village council OK’d the Lions request on Oct. 24. A joint (village/township) public hearing on the annexation will probably take place in February or March 2006.
A decision on Lamb’s request was postponed until his ownership of the parcel was verified.
