TO CONTRACTORS FOR BIDDING ON THE REHABILITATION

OF THE HISTORIC FIRE ESCAPE OF THE GOODRICH LIBRARY BUILDING

Atlas Township Board of Trustees, Genesee County, Michigan will be accepting sealed bids for rehabilitation of the Historic Fire Escape Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project # 15-01 of the Goodrich Lyceum building located at 10237 Hegel Rd., Goodrich, MI. 48438. Proposals will be received at the Atlas Municipal Building located at 7386 S. Gale Rd., P.O. Box 277, Goodrich, MI. 48438 until 12:00 noon, August 22, 2016. All bids received will be opened at that time and publically read aloud at 12:30 p.m. on August 22, 2016.

Proposals are solicited on the basis of a lump sum price for all labor and material required to complete the project as designed and specified in the contract.

The principle items of work include, but are not limited to replacement of components to return the fire escape to its original design condition.

The above referenced project is federally funded under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Successful Bidders must comply with the Federal Labor Standards, including the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Anti-Kickback legislation, and federal equal opportunity requirements as well as Section Three (3) of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. The contractor shall also meet the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) prevailing wage requirement. With each request for payment, wage certification shall be provided. A pre-construction meeting with Genesee County CDBG program coordinator will be required upon award.

Minority/Women/Handicapped business owned enterprises (MBE/WBE/HBE) and Section Three (3) business concerns seeking bid opportunities under this Project Notice are encouraged to respond.

A copy of all Project and Contract Documents are on file and are available for inspection on and after Monday, July 30, 2016, at the Atlas Township Clerk’s office, 7386 S. Gale Rd., Goodrich, MI. 48438.

Atlas Township reserves the right to accept any bid, or reject any or all bids, and to wave any irregularities in any bid, in the interest of Atlas Township.
