Last week, Oxford High School senior Jessica Raisch signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Rochester College Warriors.
‘I’m really excited,? said Raisch, who plans to study nursing at the small Christian college. ‘It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.?
‘We’re excited to have her just because of her length and her size,? said Joel Schroeder, head coach of the women’s basketball team. ‘She’s been well-coached through high school.?
Schroeder also likes Raisch’s ‘defensive mentality.?
‘She’s a really tough girl,? he said. ‘I actively recruited her. I probably saw her play four or five times this season and I was really impressed with everything I saw.?
