Jerald and Elaine Smith of Davisburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their son David F. Smith to Cara L. DeForge.
Cara is the daughter of Joseph and Christine DeForge of Houghton, Mich. The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Michigan Tech University with a degree in Biology.
David is a 2005 graduate of Our Lady of the Lakes, attends Michigan Tech University, and will graduate in May 2010 with a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
An August 2009 wedding is planned.
