Dozens of volunteers packed boxes full of canned, packaged, and instant foods, personal care items, entertainment items, and new socks for troops overseas, Feb. 25, at Desert Angels? Miracle Box Packing Party.
The theme of the Heroes Sock Hop II at Oakland County Sportmen’s Club, 4770 Waterford Road, was socks ? each box included a new set of black and white socks.
Louise Downs of Metamora founded Desert Angels in 2001. She and her group ship thousands of boxes filled with needed items and letters to our troops overseas.
