Spending should be on deputies? needs

Dear Editor:
It is very obvious to me that the Oakland County Sheriff Department administrators are more concerned about their own comfortable lifestyle than for properly equipping the deputies that are out there protecting the community.
The administrators now have a newly refurbished building at a cost of $11 million to the taxpayers outside of the jail with heated sidewalks, plush suites, etc.
Yet the deputies working to protect the community don’t have the proper holsters to fit the new sidearm they are required to carry. It reminds me of sending our soldiers to Iraq without the proper armor to protect them.
In my opinion, a nice pole barn building would have worked fine for the administration, and buy the proper holsters for the deputies on the road. Seems like the big spenders for Oakland County have their priorities wrong to me.
Oh, and by the way, I believe the recent election outcome seems to reflect my views.
