The Clarkston varsity swimming team got a valiant effort from senior Andrew Riegel, but fell short against Berkley losing 103-82 on Dec. 16.
Riegel finished first in both the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.
‘He’s good enough to make States this year,? said Coach Kenwyn Chock.
Phil Voorheis finished first for Clarkston in the 200 individual medley. Junior Mike Nelson also helped the Wolves cause finishing first in the 100 breaststroke.
Clarkston is now 1-2 on the season.
