The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a disorderly man on Goldengate on Sept. 15.
According to an OCSD report, a couple said the 30-year-old Detroit man was walking through their backyard and they told him he was trespassing, and asked him to leave.
They said the man refused, saying he would ‘kill you and kill everybody.? They said the man was repeating himself over and over, and the husband followed him down the Paint Creek Trail.
The husband called the OCSD on his cell phone and told them the man was ‘acting weird? and appeared to be mentally disturbed or on drugs.
He said the man was carrying two bags and he didn’t know if he had any weapons.
The OCSD arrived and ordered the man to stop walking, but he would not so he was taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs.
He was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital for mental evaluation, and cited for being a disorderly person.
