Saginaw— On April 4-6, the Brandon High School robotics team, Truck Town Thunder (T3) Team #68, competed at the FIRST Robotics Competition Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University.
A total of 160 teams from around Michigan qualified for this tournament, to competed for the title of Michigan State Champion.
Truck Town Thunder placed ninth, with a record of eight wins and four losses, after their divisional qualifying matches on the Consumer’s Energy sponsored field. Unfortunately, T3 and their alliance partners were eliminated in the third round of the division playoffs. Despite their early exit from the playoffs, T3 accumulated enough points to advance to the World Championship in Houston, on April 17-20. The World Championship will host over 300 teams from dozens of international countries.
