More new places to live will soon be popping up in Oxford Township.
Last week, the township board voted 7-0 to rezone 15.788 acres of the Hills of Oxford, located at M-24 and Indian Lake Rd., as a planned unit development (PUD) so as to allow for the construction of 43 new detached condominiums.
According to the PUD agreement between the township and the Bloomfield Hills-based Robertson Brothers Homes, the condos will be constructed in three phases. The first phase, which includes 17 units, is scheduled to commence immediately.
Construction of Phase II’s 18 units will begin on or before November 2015, while the final eight units in Phase III will be built beginning on or before September 2016, according to the agreement.
These 43 detached units will be combined with the existing 58 attached condos that are spread out amongst five multifamily buildings.
