Village eyes pathway enforcement

Goodrich – Since no motors are allowed on the Hegel Road pathway, village officials must now decide how to best enforce the policy.
The pathway’s non-motorized requirement–with the exception of Amigo carts and wheelchairs–stems from the village agreement with Michigan Department of Transportation, the agency providing most of the pathway funding.
Village officials will now decide whether existing ordinances are adequate to enforce pathway standards, or whether to adopt new ordinance language pertaining to the pathway.
