Independence Township Senior Center hosted more than 100 volunteers for lunch, April 29, at American Legion Post 63 hall.
“The reason we’re here is to thank volunteers,” said senior center Director Margaret Bartos. “We have more more than 300, with more every year. I’m very proud of all of you and appreciate what you do for the senior center.”
Volunteers received certificates and prizes at the luncheon.
“Our success is due to very involved, talented, experienced volunteers,” Bartos said. “As we face future challenges, we’ll look to you to help us maintain services and programs.”
