More than a dozen young creative writers from Andersonville Elementary received $50 scholarship checks from the Charactership Publishing Company.
The students submitted fictional children’s stories in a contest open to all third and fourth graders; writers of stories deemed creative and well-written were rewarded with scholarship checks on May 15. Some students wom more than once.
Charactership owners Shannon Flumerfelt and Linda Malatesta traveled from Florida to’visit Andersonville to preside over the awards ceremony.
