Christopher Craddock

CRADDOCK, CHRISTOPHER GERARD of Ortonville, Michigan. Previously of Royal Oak and Pleasant Ridge. Died on August 29, 2022 surrounded by his family at home. He was 61. Chris was born on June 26, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Alexander and Florence (nee: Herrin) Craddock. He was a 1979 graduate of Ferndale High School. He obtained his Master Electrical License from Henry Ford Community College. He married Mary Ann McDonald on October 12, 1985 in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Ann Craddock; three children, Emily (Brian Doyle) Craddock; Christopher Craddock, Joseph Craddock; two grandchildren, Jameson and Kennedy Craddock; seven siblings, Deanna (John), Timothy (MaryAnn) Marie (Ron), JoAnne, Martin (Deanna), Elizabeth (Dale), and Virginia; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and IBEW Local #58 Brothers; he was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Craddock; brother, Daniel (Joyce) Craddock; sister, Marilyn (Dick) Wagnitz. Chris was a proud Local #58 member for 28 years. Previously an independent contractor and electrical inspector for the city of Ferndale. A lifelong Detroit Tigers fan who enjoyed attending over 30 home openers with the Craddock Clan. He was a proud father and grandfather who never missed the opportunity to retell a great story or joke. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed woodworking and quality time with his family and friends. Chris leaves behind a legacy of laughs, good times and memories.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 825 S. Ortonville Road, Ortonville, Michigan. Father Craig Marion, Celebrant. Family will receive friends on Sunday and Monday from 1:00 – 7:00 P.M. VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, 135 South Street, Ortonville, Michigan. and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.     Rest In Peace Chris! What a sad loss. I enjoyed hearing from him and hearing his stories. He always made me chuckle. My condolences.
