Bob McArthur, president of the Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance and former fire chief, is the newest member of the Ortonville Planning Commission.
The open seat used to belong to David Van Dis, who passed away on Jan. 30, 2018.
“In one manner or another I have been involved with the Township or Village government,” said McArthur. “During my tenure on the Fire Dept I had the opportunity to work with both Planning Commissions and the work they do is very interesting and important.”
The village council voted to approve his position unanimously at Monday night’s meeting. The next planning commission meeting is scheduled for April 3 at the village offices.
